Thames Festival 2010
As free days out go, the Thames Festival is right up there. There’s all kinds of things to do both on the river and around it, with a market and live music among its attractions.
On Sunday evening (12th September) as the festival draws to a close, there is a carnival on the Victoria Embankment, and the finale is a spectacular firework display from a barge on the river between Waterloo and Blackfriars bridge. It really does make for an excellent weekend.
