Free Art at the National Gallery: Close Examination

Close Examination is a really cool exhibition at the National Gallery, all about how the scientific arm of the gallery has made many discoveries – especially that some paintings by old masters are fake or have large mistakes in them.
The exhibition is part artwork, part cool spy-like stories about how they dated artwork and worked out it wasn’t really by certain artists.
You never know – it might inspire you to check if you actually have a masterpiece at home!
Free, until 12th September 2010, 10-6pm, National Gallery, Trafalgar Square, Westminster, London WC2N 5DN, Map, Website
