East End Film Festival

The East End Film Festival is back this year and is a must go event for anyone who likes film. The festival brings together local film makers as well as showcasing international films. The local films celebrate East End culture and there’s alot more going on than just film showcases!
Here are some cool thngs worth seeing:
Monday 26-30th April@6.30pm Heritage film trail Launch – FREE
See 30 years of photos showing the changes that have occurred in the pubs, streets and communities of East London by Phil Maxwell’s photography. The event starts at the Water Poet pub at 6.30 where you can go on to a pub trail to see 10 of East London’s oldest and best pubs
Daily Mon 26 – 28th April at Old Spitalfeilds Market ‘Give and take’ – FREE
One mans junk is another’s treasure! Give your old things away from 4-6pm and take what you want at 6-7pm. Each day you can give and take something different. Monday is al about film memorabilia, bring and take DVDs, soundtracks, mags and posters. On Tuesday, give and take Art & Design stuff including photography, paintings. Wednesday will be a freestyle day!
Until 30th April 10-6pm, Spitalfields Market Local Eyes Speed of Light Exhibitionn – FREE
This innovative and interactive art installation features a cycle which must be peddled to see the projected film of a cyclists perspective of London’s East End. You’ll see the interesting and insightful journey of artist Mila Lipowicz’s travels through the streets of east London.
