Are you a student or freelancer who has a flexible schedule? Do you want to get inspired or find out what’s happening in the city?

Many university institutes, policy thinktanks, art groups and charity organisations host quality thematic talks in London, and generous in not charging a penny for these events.

Featuring eminent speakers from the relevant field(s), and with a wide range of topics to choose from (e.g. visual arts, politics, business, entrepreneuship, science, literature and human rights etc.), you are sure to get wonderfully inspired and refreshed after the hour-long educational session!

For this week, there is an intriguing talk on plastics electronics on 2 March, 7.30pm at Royal Society London (Piccadilly Circus tube station), when Professor Donal Bradley of Imperial College will discuss the influence and application of consumer plastics in modern day technology. On 9 March, 7.30pm in Science Museum (South Kensington), world-famous environmentalist Professor James Lovelock FRS will talk about his life and work in science.

If you are more interested in museums and curated artwork, the British Museum is a reliable place to go to for lunch time talks, which are held every weekday at 1.15pm except Monday.
