Cheap Japnese food at Satsuma
I stumbled upon this restaurant, often overlooked for waggamams or Busaba and am pleased to add it to the cheap restaurants list as its got a great menu, delicious food & even better prices!
The restaurant itself has got the same style as waggamamas, with the long wooden benches and fast service. The menu is different, in terms of offering more Japanese style dishes with Sashimi and Sushi, as well as Bento boxes. They also do rice sets, where you get a miso soup and salad with your rice dish starting from £7.90, or more depending on what meat you have with it.
I ordered a king prawn and fish cake Yaki Soba (picture above) for £8.70 and the portion was massive, so i had it for lunch the next day too! Not bad eh?
They also have more adventurous bits on the menu like ‘grilled eel’ a tad slimey if you ask me!
