When you can get baked potatoes £1.50 and coronation chicken baguettes for £1.65, you really can’t go wrong! This place was a personal favourite of mine when i used to work close by, and I think it’s worth a mention. It’s probably the cheapest place to grab lunch in central London by far! It is a typical diner with queues spilling onto the street at busy lunchtimes, not just because of their prices, but also because the food is pretty ok. Obviously you get what you pay for, but the diner only serves standard lunchtime food such as baguettes, soups and jacket potatoes, which can all be made fast and cheaply without compromising on taste too much. They even have a seating area at the back, which comfortable sofas and chairs and tables. The service is quick and friendly too. What more could you ask for?!
